The writing and recording fire re-ignited with On The Horizon, and I kept the pace up over the next year with more pieces, more concerts, and consequently, another album in 2001.
Another factor in the whole thing was meeting a great builder in Santa Cruz, Ed Claxton. After many years with my trusty Santa Cruz guitar, I found room in my life for a 2nd guitar, which quickly became my 1st guitar. Ed's guitar really gave me a broader range of sounds to create music. I felt like a painter who had just been handed a huge pallet and turned loose.
Most of these tunes were written in the spring and summer of 2000.
